Welcome back to school! The decision to go back to school is a big one and the Health Careers Center is here to help.

Look here for ways to get started towards your new direction in a professional health career:

• Explore the health professional educational programs offered at the University of Minnesota on the health careers page. Select from the different programs listed find links to the prerequisites, admission requirements, and application procedures, as well as resources for that field.

• Be sure to visit the start your career page, for information on the components of the career planning and development process. Click on each part of the gears to link into University and online resources for career and self-assessment advice, networking tips, and career action planning strategies, among many others.

• Attend information sessions and workshops that are of interest to you. Bring your questions and learn more about program prerequisites and the application process at information sessions geared specifically for the program that interests you. Workshops are offered to give specific information and assistance on selected components of the application process, whether it is for gaining experience for a health profession, interviewing, or writing a personal statement for a health professional school. Advance registration is required for both information sessions and workshops; registration details can be found at the above link.
