How did the Pre-Health Student Resource Center support you in your goal of becoming a health professional?
The PHSRC helped me on my journey by helping me explore different health careers through their online courses, workshops, and numerous resources, confirming my desire to become a physician. I also took the PHSRC course in clinical research (AHS 2300) where I gained a great foundation in this side of research, as well as began a research project through the course. I enjoyed the lab I was in so much that I continued for the rest of my undergraduate career. The PHSRC also helped me a ton with my personal statement. I think this became one of the strengths of my application and I couldn't have perfected it without the guidance, revisions, and assistance of the PHSRC staff.

What are you most excited about as you start your health professional career?
I am most excited to have an impact on so many peoples lives. Whether it is life-saving care or preventative medicine, I cannot wait to positively impact my patients. We have the awesome opportunity to play a role in the happiest and the toughest times of their lives. I look forward to being a part of each of these moments, to share in their joy and support them in loss. I think is a very special role and one that I am very excited to have.
