Working on equipmentHealth professional programs - including medical school - have expectations and requirements of their student populations once they are admitted to their programs. Clinical sites may have requirements as well.

Technical Standards & Performance Requirements

Techical standards and performance requirements are often required by programs of their students. Those elements may include certain aspects of the following skills and abilities:

  • Motor skills
  • Sensory/observation
  • Communication
  • Cognitive
  • Behavioral/emotional
  • Professional conduct

The University's mission is to provide optimal educational opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities. In addition to academic standards, programs may have requirements which could include, but not be limited to:

  • Health requirements, including vaccinations
  • Dress code 
  • CPR requirements
  • Other requirements stated by the program
