Health Professional School Expo
UPDATE: Health Professional School Expo Canceled
As the challenges presented by COVID-19 continue to change rapidly, the University of Minnesota's top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community.
We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Health Professional School Expo on April 8. This decision has been made to follow guidance from the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Health to cancel or postpone large events with over 250 people.
We will be collecting information from all of the health professional schools that were registered to attend, and will be compiling a public resource to share with students as soon as we can.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions, email@example.com or 612-624-6767. Thank you for your partnership and patience as we work together to keep our community healthy.
The best up-to-date resource for UMN system-wide information on COVID-19 updates and action, including University FAQs and messages from UMN leadership, can be found on the UMN Safe Campus website.
The Health Professional School Expo brings health professional degree programs from around the country to campus to connect with interested students. This event features colleges and universities from MN, WI, and around the U.S, representing a variety of health profession programs, such as: medicine, pharmacy, physicians assistant, public health, etc.
The Expo is a great opportunity to learn more about our UMN health degree programs, as well as network with admissions representatives from schools in other states. The primary audience at this event is UMN undergraduate students, however we welcome undergraduates from metro area colleges and universities. All students will be asked to sign in at the doors.
The Health Professional School Expo will return in the Spring of 2021.
The Health Professional School Expo is co-sponsored by Interprofessional Pre-Health Students. The Interprofessional Pre-Health Students (IPPHS) group is a student group at the University of Minnesota focused on collaborative healthcare and interprofessional development among pre-health (undergraduate) students.
IPPHS is a Campus Life Program in affiliation with the Pre-Health Student Resource Center at the University of Minnesota, who is co-sponsoring the fair along with IPPHS.
The Health Careers Fair is a place to explore a wide variety of health degree programs from the UMN (undergrad, grad, professional), and learn about ways to develop a strong portfolio of experiences like pre-health student groups and community volunteer organizations.
The Health Professional School Expo is a place for students to network with health professional schools from around the country. Underclassmen can learn about what different programs and schools have to offer to help guide them in what prerequisites and experiences they need for their application portfolio. Upperclassmen can network with admissions representatives from their top school choices as they approach the point of application.
